Who is Quelch Town Planning

Quelch Town Planning was founded by David Quelch in 2005. David was born in Perth, Western Australia in 1966 and moved to Melbourne in 1999 and today is happily married with three children. David went to Curtin University in Perth (W.A.) and graduated in 1987 with a degree in Urban and Regional Studies. On completion of his studies, David travelled extensively around Australia, New Zealand, UK, continental Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, the Middle East and Indonesia. While travelling, David closely observed the natural and manmade environments, including the physical layout and built form of town and cities that he visited. These experiences contribute to David’s understanding of the complex field of town planning.

I first met David at a BNI breakfast meeting. I found him to extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his profession and straight away I knew I was safe hands and asked him to help me do a subdivision on my own property.
David has made the whole daunting process extremely easy and has made himself available every step of the way to explain what is going on and what the next step is. He has been totally professional and kept in contact with me through the whole process either by phone or email. The process of subdividing a property takes in excess of 12 months to complete and I have always found that David worked through it every step of the way with me. I can honestly say that I was never left wondering what was going on.
David even spent his own time attending a Council meeting with me to discuss and alleviate the neighbours complaints and help them understand what the end result was going to achieve.
I would have no hesitation in recommending David Quelch as your Town Planner in order to get your subdivision through Council.
Thank you very much David for all the work you have done and I wish you all the very best for continued success.

Our introduction To David Quelch of Quelch Town Planning came as we started seeking advice from our local draft’s man over building issues with the Mornington Peninsula Council. David came we recommended with extensive experience in planning issues with councils. We found that he well and truly lived up to him reputation.  This is not to say that the council made his job easy.
We found that David would never over represent the circumstances of our case, but had a clear format in tacking the arguments put forward.  We eventually ended up in VCAT, with David, who was professional and logical in presenting our case.  I’m a firm believer that it was David’s knowledge, honesty, professionalism and strengths of our case which found in our favour of building.  Thanks you David a magnificent job, we love our new home and family environment.
We are more than happy to recommend David’s services to anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances to us in regard to council disputes (specifically over the Planning and Environment Act matters).

Thank you David for making our building plans and subdivision easy. Your professionalism and advice was invaluable. It was nice that we didn't have to deal with local council. You kept us in the loop at all stages of the process.

Thank you very much for the handling the recent request to apply for a Dispensation to the building regulations regarding the setback of the carport. You handled the process in a prompt and professional manner and I have no doubt that your extensive knowledge in these matters made the request both successful and also easy for myself.  I would have no hesitation in recommending your services to anyone in need of assistance with planning matters.
